I'll start this off by saying that Planetside in its prime was truly epic. Battles could get up to hundreds of people with aircraft, vehicles, and foot soldiers. It was amazing to watch and even more fun to participate in.

I remember the battle like it had just happened. I was on Ishundar and gearing up for an assault on a facility. The Terran Republic and New Conglomerate were already fighting and the Vanu were just starting to join the battle. My bombardier and tailgunner slid into their spots in the Liberator bomber simultaneously and I followed. I lifted off and gunned the engine, falling into formation with my bomber group.
I saw a group of NC and TR fighting to the east and pointed it out to my squad leader. He acknowledged it and told us to get into formation to attack them. We dove and turned, lining up for a run. Anti-Air fire was everywhere and our escort was struggling to keep enemy air units off us. We dropped even lower and unleashed our payload, decimating the battlefield. Not a single enemy unit lived in the area we bombed, and Teamspeak was alive with cheers and shouts. I looked out the window of my bomber and saw hundreds more of enemies. All menacing.
All ripe for the picking.
